If you’re looking for a dumpster rental in Toronto for your construction site or renovation, Ontario Trucking & Disposal can take away most of the materials you’re throwing out. When it comes to waste, we often sort out what is put in the dumpster and determine if it can be recycled. However, certain materials have restrictions on them. Meaning they have to be separated or cannot be placed in the bins at all. Continue reading to find out what kinds of materials are allowed in our dumpster rentals and what kind of materials have to be taken elsewhere.
The following are among the items allowed to be put in our dumpster bins:
Most of these items can be disposed of by simply putting them in the dumpster. However, if you think your bin will consist primarily of concrete, wood, fill, asphalt or brick rubble, it is to your advantage to put only those materials in the dumpster. We offer a special flat-rate pricing for bins with these materials. And while you can combine these items with other acceptable garbage, we will have to sort the materials in the bin, which takes us time and will incur a higher bill versus a sorted bin.
Once your waste bin is full or your project is complete, we’ll come pick it up and take it back to our facility as part of the final step in the bin rental procedure. From there, the dumpster is weighed and a charge is assessed based on that weight per tonne. As mentioned, certain construction site materials that are not mixed together are charged at a different rate than mixed garbage items. Once that’s complete, the materials in the waste bin will be sorted and anything that can be recycled will be taken out, in order to help the environment.
There are a number of things that we cannot place in our dumpsters because they pose a threat to the environment if disposed of with normal garbage. These excluded items include:
Ontario Trucking & Disposal is not licensed to handle organic or hazardous waste, and therefore, cannot accept any. If prohibited items are found in a dumpster, they will be removed and a fine will be issued to the renter.
If you’re considering a dumpster rental for your renovation, always check what kinds of materials can and cannot be placed in a dumpster.
